Years Nine and Ten
There are a number of events scheduled to assist Year 9 and 10 students in selecting subjects and pathways for 2011. I will be visiting Year 9 and 10 classes over the next few months to outline the options available. The Year 9 students will be taking part in Career Education activities as part of the STRIVE program. It is my intention to meet with each Year 10 student individually to discuss career pathways through Years 11 and 12. There are a number of events that will involve parent participation, it is important that parents be involved in this very important process and that parents are well informed of career pathways. It is through conversations and support from parents, teachers, House Leaders and myself that we find appropriate student choices are made regarding pathways to a career.
Year 12 Interviews
During term 2 I will be interviewing all Year 12 students about their aspirations for 2012. Students please start booking interview times with Mr. McKenzie in the Student Pathways Centre.
